Itinerary

Welcome to Cairo, the vibrant heart of Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, our representative will greet you with a personalized sign and assist you to your private air-conditioned vehicle. Transfer to your hotel to relax and settle in after your journey.

Accommodation: Hotel (1 night)

Meals: No meals included today.

After a good breakfast, you will start on an excellent Cairo tour of some of Egypt's best sites. Take a tour of the Giza Pyramids first with the Great Sphinx, and then stand beneath the towering Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus—examples of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World. Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's biggest archaeological museum, where approximately 100,000 irreplaceable artifacts are showcased. Here you will be stunned by King Tutankhamun's treasures, such as his legendary golden mask, and an enormous collection of statues, jewels, and artifacts that tell the amazing story of Egypt.

Late evening, you will proceed to the railway station for an overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

Accommodation: Sleeper train (1 night)

(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.)

The first stop of your tour in Aswan will be meeting your expert guide, who will take you to an enchanting site in the city. Take a panoramic boat trip to Agilkia Island, where visitors will find the spectacular Philae Temple. The temple dedicated to Isis received precise movement to save it from flooding waters that Lake Nasser produced.

You can appreciate the ancient Egyptian mythology through the halls of this perfectly preserved site by noticing its detailed carvings, tall columns and sacred hieroglyphs. After you visit the temple, you will board your luxurious Nile cruise ship and start on an incredible journey through the ancient Nile River.

Accommodation: Nile Cruise (1 night).

(Breakfast (on the train), lunch, and dinner are included.)

After enjoying a breakfast that prepares you for the day, sail the mighty Nile, head towards the highland of Egyptian temples. First on your hit list is the Kom Ombo Temple, a double temple that raises its heads to both Sobek—the crocodile god—and Horus—the god of the falcon—and it is very serene inside those symmetrical halls, admiring the detailed carvings that adorn the walls and seeing that ancient device for measuring the river levels—the Nilometer. Make your way to one of the most magnificent temples dedicated to Horus called Edfu Temple, which is one of the most preserved temples in Egypt. You may discover some information about the Horus-Seth legend itself along the way.

At the Galabeya Party, you can enjoy traditional Egyptian attire and celebrate with an evening filled with genuine celebrations, dancing, and music.

Accommodation: Nile Cruise

(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.)

After a beautiful breakfast, explore the treasures of Luxor by visiting the East Bank, which hosts some of the most stunningly beautiful monuments constructed in ancient Egypt. The first stop would be the Karnak Temple; the largest religious complex ever built was dedicated to Amun-Ra. Stroll through Hypostyle Hall, viewing the 134 columns towering high overhead, each covered in bas-reliefs and hieroglyphs related to pharaonic might and devotion.

Then come the soaring obelisks, a sacred lake, and numerous beautifully detailed hieroglyphs, which remain only as slips from a strange, majestic, and ancient world. Finally, visit the magnificent Luxor Temple, an imprint of the genius of the Egyptian architect, right in the heart of the city. The temple had been used as a location for royal ceremonies and religious procession because it was primarily constructed by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. See those magnificent statues, enter the colonnades in all their splendor, and take in the Avenue of Sphinxes. This old connecting road is now only skeletal but once led to the magnificent Karnak Temple in a haughty celebration of strength and divinity.

After an experience of exploration, get back to the cruise and relax as your trip moves forward.

Accommodation: Nile Cruise

(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.)

Enjoy a good breakfast and then head out to the West Bank of Luxor to witness the grandeur of Egyptian history since eternity. Begin in the Valley of the Kings, burial ground of Egypt's most important pharaohs: Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Seti I. Explore the luxuriously furnished tombs, where the walls are adorned with rich hieroglyphics and scenes from the Book of the Dead, which were believed to lead the dead pharaoh to the afterlife.

Then comes the magnificent Hatshepsut Temple, a terraced wonder that rests at the foot of the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. This architectural masterpiece is claimed to have been built for Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female Egyptian pharaohs; it tells of the glorious reign and vision of a woman for whom this temple was raised. From its elevated platforms, take in the breathtaking views of the desert and imagine the spectacle of ancient ceremonies that took place here. A last visit takes you to Colossi of Memnon: two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III built 3,400 years ago that once greeted visitors to his monumental mortuary temple.

After an unforgettable day of discovery, transfer to Luxor Station to board your sleeper train back to Cairo, where your adventure will continue.

Optional Activity: Hot Air Balloon Ride: Take a stunning 30 to 45-minute balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Nile River to get a bird's-eye view of Luxor at sunrise.

Accommodation: Sleeper train (1 night)

(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.)

You will arrive in Cairo and transfer directly to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.

(Breakfast is only included.)

To ensure a smooth and comfortable journey throughout Egypt, we suggest you pack the following items:

  • Valid Passport (at least 6 months): Double-check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned arrival date in Egypt, as this is often a requirement for entry.
  • Sun Protection: Given Egypt’s sunny climate, we recommend packing high-SPF sunscreen and lip balm with sun protection to shield your skin from the intense sun.
  • UV-Blocking Sunglasses: Protect your eyes from UV rays and reduce glare while sightseeing, especially when exploring outdoor sites like the Pyramids.
  • Hand Sanitizer: Hygiene is important, particularly when handwashing isn’t always accessible, so be sure to bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer.
  • Reusable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key, particularly in the heat. A refillable water bottle will help you stay refreshed while reducing plastic waste.
  • Insect Repellent: Particularly useful when visiting sites surrounded by nature, insect repellent will keep pesky bugs at bay and protect you from bites.
  • Appropriate Clothing for the Season:
    • Winter: If traveling during the cooler months, pack a warm jacket, sweater, and thermal layers.
    • Summer: Lightweight, breathable cotton clothes are ideal for staying cool in the hot weather.
  • Wide-Brimmed Hat: A hat provides shade and helps protect your face and neck from direct sun exposure.
  • Travel Adapter: Different countries have varying plug types, so bring a universal travel adapter to keep your electronics charged.
  • Camera or Smartphone: Capture stunning memories from your trip with a camera or your phone. Egypt’s ancient sites are perfect for photos!
  • Compact Umbrella: Though Egypt is mostly dry, a small umbrella can be handy during the rare rain showers, especially if you're traveling during the transitional months.
  • Comfortable Shoes: You’ll likely be doing a lot of walking during your sightseeing, so pack sturdy and comfortable shoes suitable for exploring archaeological sites and urban areas.
  • Medications: If you take prescription medication, ensure you have an adequate supply for the duration of your trip. Also, carry any over-the-counter medications you may need for common issues like headaches or stomach discomfort.
