Welcome to Egypt. Our representative will help you find your private air-conditioned vehicle and greet you with a personalized sign when you arrive at Cairo Airport. Transfer to your hotel to relax and settle in after your journey.

Accommodation: Hotel (1 night)

Meals: No meals included today.

Begin your guided tour of two historic monuments held in high esteem among the Egyptologists, who will reveal the wonders of the ancient world to their guests. Visit the Egyptian Museum: One of the most prominent museums in the world, the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities features Egypt's ancient history alongside a stunning display of architectural modernity.

Before moving on to your next planned destination—the magnificent Giza Pyramids, the final remaining structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—have a traditional Egyptian lunch prepared in a traditional Egyptian restaurant. Stand in the shadow of the Great Pyramid and learn of the amazing engineering feats that have kept these monuments standing for thousands of years.

End this visit at the mysterious Great Sphinx, a massive statue carved from a single limestone block. Later in the evening, you will transfer to Giza Railway Station for an overnight train journey to Aswan.

Accommodation: Overnight sleeper train (1 night)

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Explore the Aswan and enjoy kayaking in the Nile. The stunning adventure would be the first of your kind in experiencing the river’s ageless beauty. Visit by boat the Philae Temple, which was relocated to save it from the rising waters of lake Nasser. The temple was genuinely devoted to the goddess Isis and would provide a representative sense of the religion practiced by ancient Egypt, in addition to offering a breathtaking view of their magnificent columns and exquisite carvings.

Optional evening excursion: Nubian village traditional dinner with local family.

Stay: Hotel (1 night)

Meals: breakfast only.

Enjoy the optional activity of visiting the Abu Simble Temples during your free day in Aswan.

Begin your day with leisure, then board a traditional felucca ship to sail down the Nile and watch people of Egypt go about their daily routines. Spend one night in an open-air boat to see the stars above the Nile. Your Nubian sailing crew will organize food preparation and traditional local performances.

You will sleep on the deck of the felucca but the limited protection from the sun calls for personal sleeping equipment like a sleeping sheet or bag.

Accommodation: Felucca (1 night)

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

After leaving the felucca, you will drive to the Luxor hotel, where you can start your exploration of Karnak temple. At this vast historic area, visitors can view many towering columns decorated with intricate ancient symbols. If you are brave enough, you can walk around the famous granite scarab at the holy lake seven times to improve your luck.

Accommodation: Hotel (1 night)

Meals: breakfast only.

Have your breakfast and travel to the West Bank of Luxor to explore timeless Egyptian history. See the royal tombs of Tutankhamun Ramses II and Seti I in the Valley of the Kings, which feature hieroglyphics and murals depicting scenes from the Book of the Dead. The next spot leads you to Colossi of Memnon, which were two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that stood tall for 3400 years before welcoming people to his ritual temple.

Your Egypt tour ends after a day of exploring with your train ride from Luxor back to Cairo to continue your journey.

Accommodation: overnight sleeper train (1 night)

After your arrival in Cairo and a ride on the metro with your guide to Islamic Cairo, you will visit Bab al-Futuh, one of the remaining gates to the Old City. It is an old-style bazaar specializing in selling traditional crafts, jewelry, spices, and souvenirs.

  • Driver: $5 - $10 per day
  • Nile Cruise Crew: $20 - $30 per person for the duration of the cruise (for the entire crew)

To ensure a smooth and comfortable journey throughout Egypt, we suggest you pack the following items:

  • Valid Passport (at least 6 months): Double-check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned arrival date in Egypt, as this is often a requirement for entry.
  • Sun Protection: Given Egypt’s sunny climate, we recommend packing high-SPF sunscreen and lip balm with sun protection to shield your skin from the intense sun.
  • UV-Blocking Sunglasses: Protect your eyes from UV rays and reduce glare while sightseeing, especially when exploring outdoor sites like the Pyramids.
  • Hand Sanitizer: Hygiene is important, particularly when handwashing isn’t always accessible, so be sure to bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer.
  • Reusable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key, particularly in the heat. A refillable water bottle will help you stay refreshed while reducing plastic waste.
  • Insect Repellent: Particularly useful when visiting sites surrounded by nature, insect repellent will keep pesky bugs at bay and protect you from bites.
  • Appropriate Clothing for the Season:
    • Winter: If traveling during the cooler months, pack a warm jacket, sweater, and thermal layers.
    • Summer: Lightweight, breathable cotton clothes are ideal for staying cool in the hot weather.
  • Wide-Brimmed Hat: A hat provides shade and helps protect your face and neck from direct sun exposure.
  • Travel Adapter: Different countries have varying plug types, so bring a universal travel adapter to keep your electronics charged.
  • Camera or Smartphone: Capture stunning memories from your trip with a camera or your phone. Egypt’s ancient sites are perfect for photos!
  • Compact Umbrella: Though Egypt is mostly dry, a small umbrella can be handy during the rare rain showers, especially if you're traveling during the transitional months.
  • Comfortable Shoes: You’ll likely be doing a lot of walking during your sightseeing, so pack sturdy and comfortable shoes suitable for exploring archaeological sites and urban areas.
  • Medications: If you take prescription medication, ensure you have an adequate supply for the duration of your trip. Also, carry any over-the-counter medications you may need for common issues like headaches or stomach discomfort.
